Getting here

There is no easy way to get to Bwindi but it is worth the journey and once you arrive you won’t want to leave!

The closest paved/tarmac road is 40 km away.

You will find us on the property of Bwindi Community Hospital.

On Google Maps Search Bwindi Guest House.

Another option is to ride a bicycle here with our friends from Red Dirt and stay a few days to enjoy all the great trails. Visit reddirtuganda.com

From Queen Elizabeth National Park, you travel south through Kihihi and follow the signs to Buhoma.

You can hire a vehicle and driver from one of many tour companies. Don’t be surprised if the thing breaks down, though, as the roads are notoriously bad but worth the adventure.

And if you are very adventurous, you can rent a car and drive yourself all over Uganda. There are several rental companies available. Visit https://www.roadtripafrica.com/uganda

You can also hike from Nkuringo or Nteeko on the south of Bwindi (near Kisoro) to Buhoma for a refreshing journey. This takes you straight through the middle of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
